What length of walks do you prefer? Are you ready to do some uphill work to get a good view or visit an interesting place?
I write many of the walks in the magazine and would welcome more feedback.

Hi Rambling Robert,
The kind of walks I like are:
About 2 - 4 hours long, uphill is ok if there is a great view at the end, a castle, folly, tor or interesting feature would be good and of course a pub at the end where you can get Sunday lunch at the end to reward your efforts would be my perfect option.
Hello Rambling Robert,
We look forward to the Walks page in the magazine each month and store them up for when we take our holidays in Devon. We love the walks that aren't too difficult and which have a pub or tea-room along the way. We're looking forward to doing the walk from the Cott Inn to Dartington Hall when we go to Dartmouth in July.
Hello Devon Fan,
How strenuous do you like your walks? I can make several suggestions for the area around Dartmouth. And what sort of distance would you be prepaed to go from the town? A really nice one goes from Cornworthy down to and along Bow Creek to Tuckenhay. There's a lovely pub - the Maltsters Arms at Tuckenhay, where you can sit out by the river, or you can continue a while further along to the Watermans Arms at Bow Bridge. Again there's sitting out space by the river or in the pub garden. Both do really nice food.
Ashamed to say we don't like anything too strenuous, but the Cornworthy to Bow Creek walk sounds great. We've stayed at the Watermans Arms a couple of times, but not done any walking in that lovely area. We're happy to drive any distance from Dartmouth and especially love the South Hams area. Many thanks for your suggestions,
Devon Fan
