invasive plants

Help! Is there anyone out there who can tell me how to control oxalis? I have two different varieties in my garden and once established they seem to be impossible to get rid of. Dig them up and at least one of the little corms that they grow from drops off and establishes a whole new plant. If I don't do something soon, the whole garden will be over-run.

Haven't had any experience with oxalis, but what about Japanese knotweed? It seems to be springing up all over the place. Once it's taken hold, it seems to be impossible to be rid of it. Still, it's not quite as bad here as down in Cornwall. I was in West Penwith recently, and it is absolutely everywhere - verges, field edges, waste ground. No-one seems to be doing a thing to control it.
