The White Blackbird of Torquay
Reply Quote
Has anyone else seen the white blackbird of Torquay (or should that be the Black whitebird?).  It is a pure white blackbird with a dark eye.  Clearly not an albino because it doesn't have pink eyes.  My animal-lover daughter informs me that it should have been eaten weeks ago because it is so distinctive and easy to spot. However, there is another theory that the buzzards that also live in my tree, have blanked it out because it's not what they are expecting to see. Any theories?  We recently saw it with a bill full of worms so I think that it must have a nest.  I wonder what its mate looks like and who the little darlings will favour?
