Dartmouth Experience

Just like to say a vote of thanks to those magnificent Harbour Masters at Dartmouth who towed us into the Town Pontoon after we suffered engine failure outside Dartmouth recently.  With the engine smoking away nicely, they assisted us from a misadventure off the rocks near Castle Ledge (hitherto known as Rescue Rocks!).

An enforced Bank Holiday weekend in the heart of beautiful Dartmouth turned into one of the best weekend breaks ever.  I highly recommend the Town Pontoon as a base from which to observe the world going by.  Sitting sipping my Pimms and reading the paper on deck on the gorgeous River Dart couldn't have been more pleasant.

Yes. A far cry from the old days.. no names mentioned. I think the term preferred is Harbour Manager now as they like to see themselves as a service provider.Good news for us Yachties! Well done DHNA.

Does anyone have any experience of other Harbours in the area? Let us know how you have been greeted and treated.
