Violet was the daughter of a past rector of Ermington, and developed a quite extraordinary skill in woodcarving, setting up her own business. Ermington church has examples of her work and so does Stoke Fleming. I'd be interested in hearing of anyone else who knows about her work in any Devon churches.    Report
