Does anyone think that this latest idea to create a new tax for people who fly more than once a year is misguided? Personally, I think it's another gimmick which will hit ordinary people who want to visit family for weddings, funerals, graduations, christenings and so on. Big business will not be affected as the costs to them will be relatively low. As long as commercial interests are not harmed, who cares if granny can't get from Scotland to the family wedding in Devon?
Typical politicians trying to establish their green credentials at the expense of others. (I promise I reuse, recycle and am holidaying at home in Devon and Cornwall this year - travelling by boat).
I'd love to know what others think.. Am I wrong?
