The Post Office!

Unbelievable!. As an avid user of eBay I occasionally receive parcels via the Royal Mail. My latest experience makes my blood boil... A parcel, packaged professionally by an eBay shop retailer, with a clear label computer produced in LARGE lettering to the correct address (mine) was despatched on the 2nd October in London. On the 24th October, having chased the sender, I visited my local parcel office to enquire on its whereabouts. Armed with the Post Office reference number I was given the parcel from a shelf directly behind the counter person, dispelling any possible sympathy I might have had if it had been stacked in a pile after the recent strike.

NO 'failed delivery' card had come through my door (guaranteed because we have a post basket behind the letter box so no chance of the cat, dog or guinea pig eating it).

"How long were you going to sit looking at my parcel before you decided to deliver it?" I enquired. "Can I have a refund of the £7.75 Special Next Day Delivery Fee and numerous telephone calls please".

A Gallic Shrug convinced me that it was not worth persuing the matter.
